| Barry Moyer's Survivor Story |
| I was staying in a hotel on November 15, 2001. I went into their jacuzzi and nicked my elbow. I was only in the jacuzzi for about 1 minute. I went back to my room and took a shower. Later that night, my arm started to burn real bad. I went out into the hall and got some ice to put on my arm so I could sleep. The next morning my arm was very swollen. Later that day a friend told me to get to the hospital because I was not feeling right. I seemed to be confused and knew something was wrong. So they took me to Akron medical Hospital they shipped me by ambulance to a teaching hospital. This hospital was great! They knew about this illness and a team started on me right away. After three operations I am here to say I lived throught it. This is the best hospital if you ever want to know who can save your life. I just wish the hotel would pay the medical bills, ha ha. |
