Below is a list of people who are willing to discuss NF. Some are survivors, some have lost loved ones. All have been touched by NF. Please respect their privacy. In some cases info has been given as it has been given to me. Others have given no info, just their name. Either is fine. If you want to be added, please let me know.
Also, if you want to add yourself to a map that frappr.com has that shows where NF survivors live you may do so. If this doesn't work, use the link http://www.frappr.com/necrotizingfasciitis Adding yourself to this map does NOT add you to our support ring, if you want your email added so others can contact you, you need to contact me.

Cheryl Lee -West coast of Florida about 40 miles south of Tampa. I am a newbie to this insidious bacteria as I was just diagnosed on 8/12/07. I was finally able to come home on 9/29/07 but have a wound vac attached to my left arm and get an IV of vancomycin. Half of my upper left arm is missing but I still HAVE an arm and it is otherwise fully functioning! Still to come is skin graft surgery. I will help any way I can. I think it is important for you to know that I have no memory of what happened between 11 p.m. on 8/11/07 up until the second or third day in ICU. I do have wonderful family and friends, as well as a multitude of medical personnel, who have helped me fill in the missing pieces. I am VIVIDLY aware, however, of everything since that second or third day in ICU!

Ben - Louisville - Survivor 2003. I came out of it OK, but it was difficult to recover from the disease. The doctors do not know how I contacted it because I had no open wounds. It seeded itself in my hand and in my jaw. They operated on my hand but could not do anything for my jaw (it must have eaten away a bit of cartilage in my jaw joint but I had little problems with this).
