Since 1997,
NNFF has been compiling case studies of NF to assist noted infectious
diseases expert, Alan Bisno, Vice Chairman of the University of Miami
Medical Center for his milestone study on the problem of misdiagnosis.
This study is now complete, and will be published in a soon-to-be-released
issue of Clinical
Infectious Diseases.
We are still
compiling case studies, however, as we believe that other researchers
can benefit from the information gathered. If you are a survivor
of NF, or the family member of someone who
has died, please consider reporting your experience to us so that
we may help physicians to better understand the symptoms, manifestation
and course of the disease in order to save lives. The report
is very detailed -- we appreciate the time and energy you are taking
to complete it!
