I spoke to the wife of Richard Wayne Lewis who asked me to add a dedication to her husband, Richard, who succumbed to NF on Monday, April 3, 2006. He was the loving husband of Donna and wonderful father to Heid and Christopher, son, uncle, brother and friend to numerous friends and family. Richard was an avid golfer and was a picture of health. He and Donna attended a golf club dinner dance and Saturday, April 1, and danced the night away! Sunday at noon he did not feel well and started to experience some discomfort in his hip...too much dancing ! A couple of aspirin seemed to help, but then later that evening the pain increased and a large rash appeared on his thigh. Donna took him to the emergency room and he was soon transferred to a nearby hospital will cardiac specialists. Despite repeated efforts to revive Richard, he succumbed to the disease Monday afternoon.
