| Pat
got a water blister June 7th on her right foot. She didn't think anything
of it. She popped the blister. Two days later she was in extreme pain
and couldn't figure out why. Friday the 9th she finally went to the hospital.
They did an ultrasound of her leg and said that the blood flow was good,
but they had no idea what it was. They put her isolation. Later that night
they transferred her via ambulance to the trauma center. June 10th they
had to do a below the knee amputation. Pat had lots of complications.
They discovered that her had a heart problem. She had to have many debridement
surgeries and was put in the Hyperbaric Chamber. She had over 15 surgeries
to clean out her leg. They never were able to close it. Finally on Nov
2nd they did an above the knee amputation and closed her leg. After that
surgery she never recovered. She slept all the time. She finally lost
her life 12-5-06. I miss her so much. |
