Lynn Spearing

June 26, 1951 - November 5, 2005

My wife, Lynn Spearing, born June 26th, 1951. She died as a result of NF on November 5th, 2005. She fought hard for 7 days, She lost her arm, shoulder and right side of her chest. I was so proud of her. I thought she had beaten it. On the 5th day it returned and attacked her organs, then, she had no chance. The surgeon gave her a choice, "Lose your arm or die." She said, "Take my arm." 10 minutes before she had it removed she said to me, "Look, Allan, I have just learnt to write my name with my left hand." She was 54 years old. She was very much loved and a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Wife. We miss her terribly. I cannot understand how such a disease is alive on this earth. I believe it is not an illness but an attack. A vicious and most deadly attack and this "thing" should be known by everyone.
