My mother died at the age of 85, on 05/12/11 from necrotizing fasciitis. She was under a great deal of stress, her sister passed away 03/09, her brother 03/12, and her husband, my father, 04/12, all in 2011. She was frail, but healthy, the only medication she took was blood pressure medicine. On 05/11, she had a rash on her leg, which she thought was a bug bite because she lived in the North Woods. By the time she got to the local hospital, the rash had spread, but since she was older they were treating her for respiratory distress, looking at her heart, etc. They did not have the means to treat this there. She was air lifted to another hospital at a bigger city, but the rash spread so rapidly, she passed away 19 hours later. I don’t know how you know to treat this, but it must be addressed immediately.
