Anthony Ray Johnson
1997

I wish to have my dearest love Anthony Ray Johnson remembered on this site. Tony was a wonderful person. He was a computer programmer, loved magic (he was an excellent mentallist), the theatre and produced a local television show here in Kansas City. We lost him to this disease in 1997. It was so sudden that we really had no time to tell him good-bye...for all these years we have missed him so.. When he died, I told a friend of mine about his death and the disease. She was a nurse at a hospital in California. When a young man came in with a puncture wound on his leg and he began to show symptoms of the disease, she called the attending doctor and told him about it. The doctor did an examination of the patient, discovering that it was indeed the infection. They rushed the young man to surgery and saved his leg and his life. I feel like Tony did have a hand in saving this young man from further harm. At least we can feel good about that.
